Hmmm thanks for the "advice" guys ;)

Let's just clarify something here: I have no problem meeting guys and if I was only after some fun in the bedroom, that's all too easy...but - call me crazy - I actually would like a bit more than that. :D

So that fact I want someone who's not obese, doesn't cheat, who doesn't smoke, isn't loopy and not going to hit on my best friend are things I should change??? Just so I'm with someone???

I'd rather be single than go through any of that again

im constantly reminding my mrs, that i say what i mean, and onyl what i mean.

she thinks i speak in code like the she sometimes does. after that its all good again untill she forgets again

i always used to say, look for ppl in the places you'd liek to go with them.

ie: dont go to a pub to pick up a girl, then expect to take her to the movies, or the park on a date. 8)

the problem is, all the "decent" blokes, arent swanning about making themselves "look" single.

they are going about their business as normal, and often fall under the radar :?

And that my dear is why you are still alone. ;) No not the things you THINK but the way you answered the question. NO ONE should have to put up with the things you mentioned it is the OTHER stuff, and NO I DONT know what it is, but if you thought about it honestly enough I am sure you (as I have before you) will work it out 8) Dont take offence cheeky, it IS a serious issue and what the heck lets be serious about it.

AND in answer to Collette's original question, NO there are NONE left, they are all taken by our age (and I am older than you).
SOOOOO we are left with someone else's discards or those so freaking sad they have not had a relationship until then.
Doesnt mean that you shouldnt give these people a chance, after all you are one too, and herein (I beleive) lies the crux of the problem.
Mr Right very well MAY exist, but chances are you have already written the poor sucker off for one (real or imagined) slight the poor barstard may (or may not) have made. And NO, I dont mean rooting your mates, there is NO excuse for that and the prick WILL keep doing it.
I am always reminded of Seinfield, NO ONE is freaking perfect, and often is not if there are are no real issues we will make one up to protect our selves from commitment (male AND female).
A little bit of advice, you are nto going to find the faults and issues on a bike (or any other) forum, you WILL find them within yourself.
AND if you cant, may I suggest professional help, no seriously. And I dont mean a Psycologist, I'n not calling anyone nuts, just saying if anyone thinks they are so freakin perfect that it is the REST of the WORLD that has an issue then.... ahem ahem
Lots of relationship councillers (and the like) out there, and 1 in 10 may even have decent advice. ;)

Frog, I don't presume to know what life experiences you have been through, and I am sure your comments were well intended, but in regards to making a judgement call on the "reason" for Tanya's (or anyone else's ) "current" single status (we have all had relationships), I believe you are out of line.

Opinions are one thing, bagging someone is another entirely...

I don't believe they're asking too much. You probably have a similar checklist you tick off before you approach someone too.... I know I do.

As for being decent and single, well that's all in the eye of the beholder. I believe I'm a decent enough bloke, but I bet I could point you in the direction of an ex or two and they'd suggest otherwise.

Keep looking girls, one day you will find someone. :)

While we're being all serious like ... What Tanya has listed there really is a tall order. Add to that someone who doesn't need to be told he's had enough to drink, and top it off by specifying an age bracket , you end up in long time lonely territory.
I tried them all - except that sad looking git who used to eye me like some kind of stalker ... 18 months he followed me about - until I realised he was the Mr Right I was looking for the whole time, and the reason he was a sad looking git was he had nothing to smile about. ;)

Now he's got me and he's a crazy looking git.

Well I am no expurt in this..... I suppose something helpful from me might be in order.

Where u wont find a good decent single guy; nightclub, pubs, gambling venues, at or after bucks parties  Basically anywhere the vices are at play stay away. ;)

Where u will find them; At work (careful here), church/weddings even funerals, social outings such as some parties and through friends, sporting and hobbies such as tennis but not tuperware parties, whatever, just think of what a decent guys hobbies and activities might be and you (might) like as well then hang there, motorcycling I would have thought to be a good place being male dominated but then again I have met some of the crazies on bikes so I do understand.

Ok, what about dancing classes? ask some guy you like to do them with you, I dunno, worked on someone I knew ages ago and is a very good way to get to know someone I think 8) How about those dinner parties where a bunch of you all meet up for dinner and get to know one another (adds in local paper for them?), years ago there was a stigma doing such things but I think it is quite normal as we often dont have much time. There are of course the dating sites online, from all I know they can end up as places for 'fukbuddies' to hook up, however I have seen some great partnerships/relationships happen online and continue to be so, very website dependant, some are just for the meat market and some are for the meet up market.

Other than that I have no idea, there is hope I know, IMO just dont try and force or rush into it for whatever reason, it will happen when it does happen, and for your sake I hope so. ;) Just what I think.

No killing kittens please  My advice take it or leave it..
