Well, I probably shouldn't say this just yet, but life isn't too bad right now! I have a permanent roof over my head, I'm in my comfy brand new never even been shagged on yet bed cossetted in brand new linen, with my laptop where it says it should be..on my lap, watching MY tellie and hopefully staying awake for the GP, with my own bedside table and lamp !!!! :) I'm an almost happy little camper right now! :D

I even went and "Socialised" tonight. I met a mate down at a pub in Williamstown for a beer and a perv on the hot little girlies who frequent this establishment! He's also a recently divorced 40 something, so we both near broke our necks!

I just went back and re-read the initial post I wrote. I almost cried again reading it, not because I am still upset, but because it reminded me of how low I actually fell to!

The good news is boys and girls, that at this point in time things couldn't be better. 8) I'm hoping Murphy's law will be a little less active around me in the future and he has been relatively quiet, with only the odd hickup; but nothing I couldn't handle.

There has however been an interesting developement . I havn't said anything, as I wasn't sure how far things would get and to be frank never thought they would get to the point they have so far. But it has!! What the hell am i talking about? Well, it can only mean one thing can't it!!! Yes, that's right boys and girls.........I had a datelove3.gif !!!

I have known this girl for about 6 or more months, through some interactions at one of the business' I deal with. It did however turn out that we had met 13 years ago, when I ran Cosway Motorcycles. We have always had a friendly but work oriented relationship; however about three or so weeks ago, we sat down for a chat about some work things and then it went on to more personal things. I opened up and spoke about what had happened with my relationship. This lead to her inviting me for an afternoon out somehwere at a work do, however I wasn't able to time it with my work. So asked if we could meet for dinner instead, another day; a proper date as such. To my surprise she said yes! :D

It was pretty scary to be honest. Ten years is a long time and habits are hard to break, but I did it!! I went on a date! The thing was, much to my surprise, this actually lead to a 2nd date!!! I know, I was just as shocked. What was even more surprising is that she didn't drink during the 1st date and still I managed a 2nd date! However, as unbelievable as that sounds, the 2nd date then lead to an unheard of 3rd date and then a 4th date and even a 5th date!! Then, last night, we had our 6th date and are making plans into the coming weeks ahead!!!

Now, before you ask...NO! I don't have to be carefull of her labrador or cane! No, I don't pick her up each afternoon from the sheltered workshop either! As a matter of fact, she is a very pretty, intelligent, sweet natured and generous person! :( I am very, very lucky!!! :D

I have been very cautious with this, almost to the point of it being a little mechanical. However, it's for good reason, as I am not wanting to experience the old "Rebound girlfriend Syndrome" which can take hold, but doen;t usually last long! Thankfully, I can communicate openly with her and she has also agreed for her own reasons to take things slowly and see what happens. But, I must say, she has got hold of me a bit already! love10.gif

On our 2nd date, I mentioned two favourite movies at one point in the conversation, next thing I know, she has bought me those two movies on DVD for my birthday! Mighty thoughtful I thought! When I woke up on my actual birthday, I recieved a morning email with b'day wishes from her, then an E-card, an SMS and a phone call!! Then, to top all that, she invited me over and cooked me dinner and we watched one of the movies she bought me. I had the best time, she is great company, easy to get along with, very, very generous and thoughful! I kinda like this one a bit!

She is a corporate professional, self made, independant and financially secure!!! 8) If I had to tick boxes along the way, I think she has hit the mark with most. Similiar musical tastes, similiar interests (she even has her own bike), some odd quirks and habits we share which I am not speaking of in here  and loads of other unbelievable coincidences and common ground.

All in all, I am pretty chuffed about things so far. The lithmus test will be this weekend, as we are doing a 1400 klm car journey from friday night to Sunday night! That's 14 hours at least in the car with me, a real baptism of fire, so Monday may tell a different story!!!

It was a tuff choice Dave, but with this girl at least there are less other guys sniffing about! Plus, she's single and Hoffy's mum is married, so our relationship could only ever be sexual!
