Yes I have a new toy!
Its AJ's 400SP.. Been keeping this one to myself until the bike was on its way from QLD.
I had originally planed to get a 400 before the 10 reared its ugly head. The 400 will give me more selections for racing, not only in PCRA where I will be racing the Z500, but in other modern meetings as well.
With PCRA I will get twice the track time & I will have the full support from SDG racing in both classes, comprising of 3 riders & 4 crew so it looks like happy days for next season.
So the bike details... its a ZXR 400R SP L1 import
* Flatside carbs
* Adjustable cam sprocket's
* Close Ratio Gearbox
* Fully adjustable rear shock
* Fully adjustable front forks
* Factory race Ram Air box (hence no vaccum cleaner hoses)
* Pipemasters race exhaust
* Unrestricted speedo I hope (They have a rev limiter trip device in the speedo)... just get details of how to deristrict it just in case.
* braided lines
* 520 race chain and sprockets... the list goes on

Bike arrives tomorrow some time, then the challenge ... get it prepared for practice in 3 dayz

Looks pretty neat Rob. I'm sure you'll have a ball on that.

And that's not much of a challenge! I have a race meet this weekend. My engine is still out of the bike. That's probably not so bad, but the fact that the engine is in about 4,000 bits isn't helping.

Only got the crank and barrels back on Friday. It's all going back together tonight - should take about 3 to 5 hours. Got all my fingers and toes crossed that it doesn't go bang the first time I start it up!

I've only got fluids, RH bar + master cylinder replacement & a bracket to fabricate... quite rudimentary compared to yours

What I didn't mention, was that I didn't pull the bloody thing apart. I didn't have the tools or abilities to get the flywheel off, so I took it to a bloke who stripped the entire thing down.

He handed me back an engine in as many bits as the engine could be in. Every part of the crank was pulled apart, every part of the gearbox and I got a big bag full of screws and bolts. Should be an amusing night.....

bit of a highjack sorry but i was surfing the web and in california there is a ninja 250 cup that gives entrants on 08 bikes a bit of a subsidy... its basically a no mods category.... id love to be able to enter that!!!
