Hay mate nice ride have u ever been pulled up on haveing your No. plate so far under like that.......... looks nice and hidden lol........ might have to do the same
Plate has been there for 2 years and no trouble from the law yet. Have been pulled over twice for license checks and no prob in Queensland. A Police bike followed me in Vic after the MotoGP in 2006 he looked me over then sped off.
I saw an R1 yesterday with the plate hidden up underneath like that, thought it was an awfully cheeky location but hey.. if you can get away with it - awesome! where do i sign

Yeh I had my plate in the same place cost $240 dollars. Need to be able to see the plate at 45 deg at any point and that is a national standard. Nice bike i bet the cans sound great.
Ouch ... $240 aus636. That standard of 45 deg is it from 20 mtrs behind the vehicle? I remember looking it up before putting my plate there. The first time I was pulled over with it there (for a random license check) I asked the officer to look at it and asked if there was any probs ... he said he could see it clearly. No Fine.
As much as I absolutely LOVE my bike (and, really, ask any of the Sunday regulars - I have an unhealthy love for my baby), I really enjoy drooling over yours.
Very fine example of one of the top 3 best damn bikes around. I bet you're proud. Does she still make you smile, every time you see her?

blurr is right... mr plod can see you when he is in the car, but its the speed cameras that wont get the photo of your licence (no doubt the whole reason for putting the plate there in the beginning) camers are mounted some 3-4 meters above ground and will try to take a foto from anywhere from 20-45 degrees above the bike (rough estimate)... hence the law is made so that speed cameras (and toll cameras for that matter) can get a view of your number plate... the copper who didnt fine u was an idiot... all the better for us i guess
