Shoei helemts...

Postby Saki » Sat Feb 02, 2008 1:28 pm

G'day guys,

I am in the market for another shoei. I am now tossing up between the Shoei X-Eleven or Another XR-1000. Currently sporting a gloss black XR1000 which i think is Fantastic! but i am interested to know if anyone out there is using an X-eleven and has tried an XR1000 and can give me any advise or any comparison and if its worth the extra few hundred... i think the xr1k looks better but its not always about the looks!

Thanks

Its not? Oh, ok :P

I have nothing useful to say, just thought I'd be annoying :P

Mine is a Shoei TZ-R and I think its great, but have never had another to compare :)

The x-11 is a lighter helmet with better ventilation
The trade off is noise

I just bought myself a TZR vogue. the girlie pink and black one. I had an off in november (still not able to ride yet) and the helmet went, it was a KBC so i upgraded to the shoei, haven't ridden, (obviously) in it yet, but it feels very light.

I must say, the kbc one felt pretty good on, but perhaps just slightly heavier.

cheers
