Benno the Ventura racks have always been a solid reliable bit of metal! Failures are rare. However, I have had two Ventura bags split on me. But NEVER has a Gearsack bag failed. The one I have now I stuff over full and over weight and it's never complained and the last one I has was just the same, with the colour completely bleached out of it in the end and it being handed onto a mate who had it for years and may even still have it!!

But, you'd wanna nice Dark Blue Givi Top box to match the paintwork on your bike wouldn't ya Benno?????

There are really only two questions in life. 1.Which way do i go? 2.What is the lap record?

Yeah, but there'd be no room for the coffee machine if I go the Givi!

Where do you recommend shopping for this kinda gear in Melb Marty? Might see if I can purchase a Ventura rack by itself, and look into a Gearsac.

mate, you live in Melb, there are plenty of Vic members that drive to the Supers. Throw you gear in one oth their cars and ride down in comfort.

As for the R1, am surprised you didn't wait for the 08 ten to see what it felf like in the seat?

To be honest Mike, I don't like the way it looks. I tried so very hard, but I seriously think it's ugly.

Aftermarket mirrors, indicators and exhaust and I think it will be OK. I'd want to see one in the flesh before buying a clit bike.

OH yeah wouldn't be without the ventura rack!

Though I tend to have the bag on the rack and tent/sleeping bag/chair/etc strapped to the pillion seat... if I have that stuff on the rack I can't see it past the bag and I like to make sure it's there :D
