Firstly, The rebuild of Randyv and resto of GM had come to a complete holt due to lack of space in my new place. All they need is paint.
Secondly, Been sorting out new house and yard and building sheds so I could get back to my bikes.
Thirdly, "The Head Pink Bitch" himself had been pestering me to come racing with him in moto-lites (or what ever it calls itself) out at willowbank after he was having a blast.
Fourthly, Lou had anounced after a couple of rides with me that she really wanted to learn to ride properly.
Fifthly (is there such a word?), A chick i work with had just traded upto a her boys '04 gixxer 750 after he got an '07thou.
Sixthly (even weirder word), I generally had the shits on as i was busting my ring and wasn't getting any closer to riding regularly again.
Then, the cosmos revealed itself. No sooner had i finished the yard and paid for the new sheds, slab, and power, I was having a beer after work last sunday. Christy the gixxer chick pipes up and says she moving house and has to get rid of her zx2, "But it's in bits mate and i just gotta get rid of it. You want?" "Yeah ok, how much?" i asked. Needless to say it was the bargain of a lifetime. I will never reveal, but still expecting the boys in blue to turn up at the front door. Having known the bike for a while we did the deal sight unseen.
So off i went the other night in the trusty skyline and trailer, and came home with a roller in the trailer and a few boxes full of bits. Three hours later, i was riding what you see here.
Ok, now before you guys who know me start giving me shit for riding some thing with less capacity that a can of mineral water, this is where we're at.
I now have a bike to ride while i finish atleast one of the 7r's. I can go and do track days on the kart track at QR with Pink Bitch. Lou is gonna get a kick arse birthday pressie in July when she gets home (she doesn't know a thing about it). If she has a bike, I'll feel less guilty working on mine as I can justify it to myself by saying "I'm only doing it so I can ride with you babe." Then when she gets bored with the rubberband powered bike and trades up, I can make it a full time moto-lite trackie.
Here comes cut-down 7RR race glass, Go-kart tacho, open headers, rearsets and lots of stacking. My own little WSB Gobert replica.

Oh, and Mario, blue still sucks.
hehehe
