this is how the project started

some of the fiberglassing i done

after alot of sanding and alot of primer, ready to sand and paint :)

after sanding and painting and fitting half to fairing and removing wheels to change tyres and brake pads etc etc

2.5 months later and shes good to go nd hit the track haha if ya want more photos i got heaps or if you have any question im here lolz thanks for looking let me know what you guys think cheers
list of things done
engine and carbs replace and rebuild, grit blast and high temp paint exhaust headers, rebuild front calipers, rebuild front and rear suspension, polish frame, lots of fiberglassing, lots of revving :), custom crash knobs and brackets, lots of sanding, lots of paint and hours in my garage lolz
anyone can go fast in a straight line,,,,

Was it plastic before you started. im lookin at a bit of respray on my bike. The top left hand side and just under my left hand blinker. what did you have to do exactly, and dose the paint stick. its kawa green.

and nice job.

ah yer the fairings are plastic best option would have been plastic welding though i fiberglassed it :) all i done was used some rounghish sand paper 80grit and just roughed up the paint didnt take it all off then gave it a nice coat of primer,,,,let that dry,,,, then a very light coat of black,,,,, then sanded the primer flat using the light black coat as my guide of the low spots in th primer so it was all even,,, then i gave it a coat of black then the lime green.
i used pre pressure packed cans purchased from super cheap auto lolz for $3 a can hahaha very easy to do although was pretty time consuming lolz its not exactly kwaka green although its pretty damb close lolz

oh and yes the paint dose stick quite well although now i have custom made tank protector pads to stop wearing, doesnt like fuel spills lolz and i have scratched it by dropping a spanner on the tank but for $50 and 2 days of spraying i think its well worth it lolz

the 250 cup will be held by us.

anyone with a 250 can join in. we will do it at a trackday,

winner takes home pride, and maybe a handfull of KSRC's highly sought after free stickers :lol: :lol:

no 250 2 smokers allowed.

frank is allowed to ride his ZX9, ZX7 pr madkaws 10. but everyone else on a 250 or smaller. ;)
