looking for a fender eliminator for a 05 ZX-10R

Postby scooby » Tue Jun 19, 2007 2:21 pm

Hi Guys,

Can anyone recommend a nice fender eliminator for a 2005 ZX-10R?
Preferably with pictures of it fitted to the bike.

If anyone can recommend one they have used it would be great.

cheers

I bought a stupidly expensive one from the Kwaka dealer when I bought the bike. (Got carried away in the euphoria of buying a new bike and paid $200). The little buggers off ebay look pretty cool.

Just as an aside I can highly recommend the integrated brake/blinkers from RatedR. Not cheap at $160 but they look smick. They also mean you just really need somewhere to hang your number plate from.
It's really all about standing around drinking Dave's beer.

Don't recall what indicators the 05 has, but in the 07 they're flush(ish) to the tail unit so the eliminator doesn't need all the extra brackets. I also got the dealer one (they did me a good deal), and it looks real schweet

I bought the same one from FleaBay in the US for the 06/07, as in photomike666's he drilled the plate for the mounting holes :( I cut the loops open then used a larger washer on the back of the plate. The same guy does the 05 version also. At $106AUD delivered to the door ($75+$12 postage) and included a numberplate light, not the brightest but it's there. I'll try to find the link and post it (intnet speed gone over limit and screwed me for the next 10 days :( )

Here it is for the 05

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/KAWASAKI ... 0126262524

The loops on the end are the ones i cut so Aus plates would fit (My personal plate thats why i didn't want to drill the holes).

Don't know the exact price as it was all part of a deal with the Akras, hugger, on road costs etc. In the end I rode away with all the extras for the price the bike was advertised before on road costs.
