Care for a repsol paintjob?

Hit the can with a scotchbrite pad and some water, then a good going over with some autosol metal polish. It'll come up with a nice satin shine that'll look great and is cheap and easy to do.

I did that on a bullbar of a scruffy SWB Pajero I bought,worked well,didn't bother with the polish though.

this is my project. as you can see, they look similar, yet totally different. in fact when you compare yours to modern bikes it doesn't seem that ols really.

Hmmmm thats a method i hadn't considered....... might have to give that a go! Autosol is avaliable at autobarn/ super cheap auto im guessing? only got silvo kicking around the place. Ill keep you guys posted on how it works, i try burky's and mikes method if it dosnt work.[/quote]

Dont be lazy... for $14 you can buy an angle grinder at Mitre 10.... Get some earplugs and a buffing pad.... Buff it to hell!
