Postby Ian_zx6r » Sun Apr 08, 2007 1:26 pm

Comes with M10 fine bolts to screw straight in.

$25 per set Natural aluminium

Spikes for your bikes!
I am now making lots of different style spikes..
So, can be made with M5, M6 or M8 threads. With or without shoulders.
For example. M5 without shoulders can replace the windscreen bolts.
M6 with shoulders can fit in the front guard...
M6 without shouders can screw around the numberplace.
M6 with shoulders can be used to replace fairing bolts....
M8 Studs can be used where M8 bolts were... D'oh...
Can be anodised gold or black

For the smaller spikes M5 or M6
$7.50 per spike.... polished aluminium... $10 Anodised.

For the larger spikes M6 or M8
$10 per spike polished aluminium ... $12.50 Anodised.

Mate, with all due respect to your obvious engineering skills, can I suggest to you that *spiked* anything on a motorcycle would not be in favour of anyone with half a fuckin' brain ???

Your other products look like they are very high quality, and I sincerely hope you sell heaps of them. They appear to be very well made.

But quite frankly, you can stick those spiked bolts, spiked pick-up knobs, spiked bar ends and spiked fucking *anything* !!! up your arse.

They are *FUCKING DANGEROUS* for something as simple as a driveway spill, they would pierce a foot or a hand in the blink of an eye, and if anyone had the misfortune to be ripped to pieces in the event of a prang with your spiked accessories fitted, I would think you may be in a spot of bother should any half-decent solicitor decide to sue your arse off for selling what is clearly dangerous bling.

I am not having a broadside against any of your other accessories, just these bullshit spikes.

Just my 2c worth, happy to wear any flaming you wish to provide, I have the hide of 10 elephants .

Exactly. The whole reason that handlebar ends must be *solid* or *plugged* (eg MX bars), is so that a bare round end of a handlebar doesn't punch a nice neat hole the size of a 5c piece through your hand, leg, foot, or arse. Or anywhere really.

This is the same logic that says all lever ends must have a *ball* on them in order to be legal - so the lever won't leave a nice deep wound in you in the unfortunate event of a spill.

Can you imagine for 1 second the damage that could be caused if you happened to have a handlebar fitted with these *spike* ends hit you anywhere in the body ?? What may otherwise have been nothing more than a slight haematoma could now be flesh shredded from the bone........it could pierce you so badly that the only outcome is bleeding to death.

All in the name of *bling*..........FFS its crap.

Ian - the rest of your stuff looks first-rate, but this type of bling has no place whatsoever on any thinking mans motorcycle.

Harley wankers excepted of course.

Listen here...
If people want to buy these spikey parts it's 100% completely up to them.
I'm sure that 99% of the people here have enough brains to realise what could happen to them if they had a stack at low or high speed.
I cannot spend my day warning people of the dangers of these, even other bar ends are dangerous if you really want to think that way, i mean aluminium bar ends are a lot lighter than origional and so you get more "buzz" through the bars which in turn numbs the hands a bit more..... could be dangerous....
BUT SO IS MOTORCYCLE RIDING!!!!
did you ever think that?
There are a fair few other people selling these things on e-bay. I"m only making them because some people like them. I'm giving the people what they want.
If you don't want it SHUT THE FUCK UP and let people do what they want
I'm quite happy to remove everything from this website if i get another stupid rant like that.

Round aluminium bar-ends won't shred flesh from bone. Bike riding is dangerous, no arguments, but *safety* gear tries to reduce the risk of motorcycle accidents. There is nothing *safe* about these spiked bar ends at all. They are dangerous and should be banned.

I will not SHUT THE FUCK UP when stating an opinion, wether you agree with that opinion or not. Thats the beauty of internet forums like this one.

If you want to take all your shit off this site because 1 member has a real issue with the safety aspects of a particular range of items you make, go for your life. I actually think the rest of your stuff is fine, and did make that point.

Perhaps if one of your close riding mates is ever badly injured because of these ridiculous spike bar-ends, you might change your tune.

  Newbies. I'm with the Gos on this. Your other stuff is obviously well made and I wish you luck with it, but selling pointy bits for twats to stick all over their bikes is, IMO, irresponsible. Do the words "pedestrian friendly" mean anything to you?

Today i was thinking about this.

I'm quite offended that you can blurt your opinionated crap against anything of my product. If you have a problem with it KEEP IT TO YOURSELF.
I'm trying to help not only myself, but others in providing top quality products cheaper than they can get them somewhere else.
I could list over 6 other places where you can get a very similar or same item and i haven't yet seen one warning on the "dangers" of these products, so i don't see why i should be pointed out and told that it's irresponsible and Fucking stupid to sell these things.
If a person wants this type of product for his or her bike then they can easily find it somewhere else. It's a free country, just like it allows you to voice your opinion it's enable me to sell these products.
When i sell an item like this to someone i warn them several times about the dangers. I just put a set of spiked bar ends on a ZX10R customer who dropped around to my house tonight. He has enough brains to know they are a danger, but he also has enough brains to know that the likelyhood of anything bad happening is such a small amount that he is willing to take the risk.
If we all thought about the "dangers" then we certainly wouldn't ride, we'd stay inside with the curtains closed.
So maybe next time you go for a ride, you should check your bike completely, make sure your riding gear is 100% perfect. Don't even think about exceeding the speed limit, and be careful about how much you've had to drink the night before or else you could be as much as a risk as these items....I wouldn't want you to be a hypocrite in calling someone esle irresponsible and stupid.
I think it's really poor taste to attack something like that.
Let people make up their own minds. Just the same way we let people ride what they want and how they want.
You must be a miserable person with a very negative attitude to take the time to rant on about something like that.
I'm just lucky i don't know you in person and have to listen to you go on about other safety issues.....
If the administrator of this forum is unhappy about the products that i list then please, let him or her contact me and i'll remove them. I'd much prefer that than an attatck by someone who is over opinionated and will spoil it for other people to enjoy parts or motorcycle riding that they may want to chose.

   oh yeah I am one miserable son-of-a-bitch, thats fer sure....... ....and 'keep it to myself' ??  its called 'customer feedback' old son, and its a measure of your ability as a salesperson as to how you deal and respond to negative feedback from crusty old bikers such as myself. So far, you rate about a 1/10.

Your spiked bar ends suck arse. Everyone else's spiked bar ends suck arse as well for that matter, but they aren't offering them for sale *on this site*. If they were, they would have gotten the same response from me that you have.

Thats my opinion, and I am happy to stand by it - there is little point in offering any further validation of your spiked bar-ends, you have admitted yourself that they are dangerous.

I would be dissapointed (and I am sure a few other members of this forum as well), if you choose to remove your other products from the site, they look like good quality gear at a good price, as I said before (you must have missed that part of my opinion eh ?)......thats whats called *positive* feedback, and you really should be doing your best to encourage that........

cheers

:D
