Time for a bit of maintenance ?

Postby Rossi » Sat Apr 14, 2007 4:46 pm

As most of the Vic crew know ......
I have been a bit of a slack arse in the riding out stakes.

Get the bike out I thinks, so into the garage I pop .........flat battery
on goes the charger for 20 minutes, a brief but spirited ride round the estate had the front squirelling around too much for comfort, so back into the Epping pits I roll - Fanny around with the suspension settings and back out for a loop of the estate....worse than before so back in I come and spanners in my hand a little voice from the kitchen chimes in "You have checked the tire pressures ?"
They "look" alright to me so I ignore she who must be obeyed and carry on fiddling - back out and a bit better but still pushing the front too easily on the roundabouts so it's back into the garage where I'm met by Linda with a cuppa in one hand and my tire gauge in the other

Needless to say 10psi in the front tends to have a detrimental effect on the handling
Lesson learned -- ALWAYS listen to the wife and do what she tells me

I could have had an extra hour in the saddle if I'd have really taken notice of what she had said
I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it.

Now there's an understatement if ever I heard one!!!! You make Mina look like a bloke that does a 1000k a week, rather than the year which is the reality :D

Don't worry Rossi, I bet she went out the night before and let them down just so she could do this exact thing ;)

Dude, you should ALWAYS do what the wife says first..... if nothing else, if she was wrong, you get the "I told you so" rights....
