The Hoffy Hi Vis Vest challenge!

Postby Strika » Wed Apr 11, 2007 10:15 pm

Well OK boys n girls! The Hoff has issued a challenge! that being, me and my GTR1000 (when I eventually get time to go aout and buy one) Against him and his Barge ZX12!

Now I've already informed him in another thread that I reckon he's getting his ambitions and abilities mixed up! So just to make it more of a challenge, over dinner we discussed and pretyt much finalised the rules for the competition. They are as follows.

Hoffy and his 12R equipped with slicks, on the race stands at the P.I.T.S. with the tyre warmer all mounted up and heating his tyres!

Me and the GTR will be equipped with the following; Hardest compound touring rocks I can find to fit to the rims, Full panniers and top box, chrome engine bars, Stereo, tall touring screen, Tow bar with trailer attached and Hi-Vis Vest! There were a few other criteria, however I am sure Hoffy will remind me when he logs back on!

The betting is currently strongly favouring the Hoff! However word at the track is that any sign of rain will see the Hoff scurrying back home to avoid wetting the 12R barge!

 - I reckon he should start looking for crash knobs for his panniers, he will need them !

I think this would be pretty close actually, those old GTR's weren't well-known for their cornering prowess or clearance ......I think they even had hinged exhausts so you could drop the cans to fit panniers........

But I am sure old mate could hustle a GTR along at a *fair clip*, so the Hoff would need to be on his toes

Video evidence will be mandatory !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I already talked to the Hoff about putting a cam on the tank to ensure we have evidence!

I am going to borrow Hoffy's Hi-Vis Vest for the occasion too!!!!

Yeah, I'd like to see him do that!!!! He was going to lend it to me if I rode back through Canberra, so I could take a pic of me wearing it in my gear while standing on your front verandah while you're at work!!!!!

yeah yeah yeah....I will eat your tourer up the old rd. It's an impossibility you can get that GTR to muscle in on the big dog 12.

All I would like to know is when you would like my bank details to insert my victory funds when I towel you up out there :)

BTW Gos, the high-vis is just to piss you off, did it work ?
hehehe

Hmmm could be a close thing, I mean Strika really has nothing to lose here if you get in front and he does the Liberace or inside and does a Pederosa/Hayden style pass !!!
Im with Benno
Now if you had ME on the 12 well then it WOULD be bin it or win it (literally)
YOUR 12 of course Hoffy

The FJR1300 that Tones rides was dubbed the QE2, think the GTR is only the QE1, having said that, the 12 looks the ducks guts but my money is on Strika Hoff, good luck though :)
