Here is the press release if your too lazy to surf.

New ZX-10R Racing Venture Set To Challenge 2007 Australian Superbike Championship

Today Pro Kawasaki Racing has announced that former Australian Superbike and Supercross Champion, Anthony Gobert, will contest the 2007 Australian Superbike Championship onboard the Kawasaki ZX-10R, for the newly established No.17 Muzzy’s LAE Concord Park Racing Team (No.17 MLCP Racing Team).

No.17 MLCP Racing Team is the newest team to join the Australian Superbike Championship and has the complete support of team sponsors Pro Kawasaki Racing, LAE Racing, Concord Park Transport and Wolf Racing.

The Kawasaki ZX-10R development will be headed by LAE Racing and Wolf Racing who have been involved in all disciplines of Motorcycle Racing at the highest level for many years, specialising in high performance engine development.

David Bunning, Team Manager, is certain that No.17 MLCP Racing Team will offer a competitive racing package to challenge the Championship in 2007. With the proven talents of Gobert piloting the Kawasaki ZX-10R Superbike throughout the season, Bunning is confident that the new teams combination of sponsor support, experience and enthusiasm is the recipe for success in ensuring the Kawasaki ZX-10R finishes ahead in 2007.

The 30 year Melbourne based rider, is re-entering the world of Australian Superbike Racing after years of successful competition experience on the national and international circuit.

Gobert, has been hard in training for many months now in preparation for the 2007 season and is looking forward to working with the new Team.

“I am very excited to be riding the Kawasaki ZX-10R sporting my number 17 for No.17 Muzzy’s LAE Concord Park Racing Team and guarantee a successful season in 2007” said Gobert.

Bet you that will keep Alex busy, be good to have a bike to follow with a really keen interest.

Still havn't got a copy of the go show and Colin Edwards doing the 7R/vtr shuffle but it was a race to watch that one and if he can do that he should be up with the rest of them just hope he finishes the season. :D :prayer: :prayer: :prayer: :prayer: :prayer: :prayer:
If I rode my bike at the speed of light, what would happen when I switched on its headlights?

Re-organisation of Kawasaki Racing Team for 2007 Onwards

From Kawasaki Australia
Kawasaki has today confirmed, the re-organisation of both the Kawasaki Road Race and Off Road Racing Teams leading into the 2007 race season.

Kawasaki Racing Team (KRT) has undergone a management restructure specifically designed to better position both On Road and Off Road Racing Teams in 2007. The re-organisation is structured to deliver better results collectively for KRT.

Continuing the momentum and fresh from winning the 2006 Australian Supercross Championship onboard the Kawasaki KX450F, Daniel Reardon - the current Pro Open Champion and KRT Pro Lite rider, Mitch Hoad - piloting the Kawasaki KX250F, will continue to contest their respective Supercross and Motocross Championships for KRT.

KRT Superbike Rider Shannon Johnson will be joined by a new team member in Melbourne based rider, Wayne Maxwell. Both riders will represent Kawasaki in the Australian Superbike and Super Sports categories. Each rider has set their sights firmly on achieving great results onboard the Kawasaki ZX-10R and the spectacular all new model ZX-6R in 2007.

The re-organisation sees the new appointment of Mr Brett Whale, a long time Kawasaki personality, assuming the role of KRT Supercross and Motocross Team Manager. KRT Race Engineers - Charlie Costanzo and Ken Wheeler will continue to work and develop their race winning partnerships throughout the 2007 season when the team relocates to its new base in Brisbane.

The Kawasaki Road Racing Team has gained the experienced services of David Cullen, known to most as ‘Radar’, to the role of KRT Road Racing Team Manager. David has a long association with Championship winning Road Racing Teams and will assume responsibility for all Road Racing Team management matters. He will be ably supported by long time KRT Technical Engineer Glen Willing.

The re-organisation is structured to deliver a more focused and dedicated environment for each element of KRT.

Ted Mori, Kawasaki Motors Pty Ltd Managing Director said “The new team structure brings fresh, new talent to support the existing dedicated team members and we are confident that with the extra support and man power, we will achieve significantly better results for Kawasaki in 2007 and beyond”.

Hey, Mitch, I heard right when I was up getting the suspension sorted by Radar last Wednesday. He got the call from Kawasaki while I was there and I overheard him accepting the gig. Right place, right time. It'll be different seeing Radar in Green after all of his time with Yamaha but it will be good to see how he gets the team going. He seemed pretty happy after the phone call. I see that he also has one of the Willings with him as well. Hopefully 'Team Green' will be up the sharp end for 2007.

What was that? Didn't think Goey was riding a 7R at the same time as Edwards was on the VTR

God, I'm looking forward to seeing the Go-Show back in Green though
