Which backlight colour is the most effective?

Postby mike-s » Sat Dec 16, 2006 1:09 pm

I've got a pushbike clock/speedo im planning on adding to my bike, however im undecided as to what colour backlight to put in it, im leaning towards white and blue due to availability of the LED's, especially the white ones. Amber would be neat, considering the display on my bike is mostly orange, but its just a shame they don't have 3mm LED's (very tight space im fitting this in) in orange, only 5mm ones.

Oh and im not just after appearances, but mostly which do you think would be the most visible at night/daytime?

If it hurts, you aren't doing it right.

If you want good daytime viewing go the best contrast you can get. Either normal LCD black on grey, or black on white imho 8)
