i had a smiliar problem,
mine jsut cut out when i stopped at a traffic light or wateva.
mech said it was a carb problem,
but then again, he said it could of been my fuel tap, and also my wiring.
jsut told the mech to fix all of it.

i think my fuel tap is abit stuffed. i took everything part and when i went to start it, the tap was not releasing fuel until i knocked it. i took it up in the hills yesterday and it all seems fine now. could have been my breather hole in my cap.

ok it happened again. it only seems to happen when i am on a full tank. as soon as i poured the full tank, the bike played up straight away. its not my fuel cap.
stalled 3 times and took a while to start again. i put in on prime and it runs fine. no kinked lines so what could it be?? this is really pissing me off. it runs fine about after 1/4 tank is gone.

help plz!!

breather pipe for the gas tank is blocked - can't suck the air through
to vaccuum the gas?

are you SURE the tap is working properly?
manifold vacuum is 'opening' the tap to let fuel flow to carbs?
all the hoses are on properly and not split at all?
no more crap in the tap, and no little rubber diaphram split or anyfing?

add a match, that will fix it!

Hahahahaha just a story not help.
I went to the mechanics with my old RX1000 and said "If I ride at 200k it cant keep the fuel up to it" (the motor was NOT standard) and the mech just looks at me blankly and says "So you want me to so 200k on your bike until it cuts out and then work out what it is??"
I said basically yes. He just laughed, BUT when I got it back it was great.
He had drilled  the fuel tap (do NOT do this, the bike was heavily modded from standard) and a bigger fuel hose.
I never did ask him how he found out how to fix it :?
Just because you CAN ride, doesn't mean you SHOULD
