I've got a Spidi Net Jacket which looks like armour held together by Cordura and silver mesh (it looks better than it sounds). It's really good on days when it's 20-25+, but below that it gets a bit cool...and my winter jacket is way too hot at 25, so I'm screwed either way during spring and autumn.![]()
Where I live it may be <5 degrees in the morning and >38 in the arvo. So I normally freeze my arse off in the morning, but it's ok when I'm coming home. I have tried squeezing a thin windcheater under the jacket, but it's a bit of a compromise in regard to zipping it up the full way and I feel like the Michelin man. And a thin windcheater does bugger-all at 5 degrees.
I don't go anywhere without the full protective gear, even for short trips. Gloves, boots, Draggins, jacket and helmet. It's a bit hot, but I still have all my skin
