rotaboy wrote:hey mate this may be completly wrong but it may be the thermostat not opening fully when warm so allowing the bike to cool enough normally but on hot days or when the bike is under load it overheats

May be completely wrong but I need to nut that out regardless, so how do I nut it out and rectify it if that's the fault?
mick_dundee wrote:Update part 2: Shortened solenoid, fan she no go, so can I assume that's NOT the problem? Pulled the thermostat out, dropped it in a cup of boiling water and it didn't open a nanometer so that's OBVIOUSLY a problem, the milion dollar question is that the be all and end all?
Watch this space for more exciting developments as they come to hand...
Neka79 wrote:ummm does the water pump start from scratch or is it thermo activated or activated by the thermostat...?? cos if the thermo not open...no water to pump....

I "thought/assumed" it started spinning once the bike starts, of course right at the minute there is no coolnat in the bike, but still, I thought the impeller was supposed to spin as soon as I started the bike...
