Can anyone here make these?

These are from the states but they want $45 US shipping for a $10 item. I wouldn't mind giving it a try. I figure aluminium pipe of the correct diameter. From the pics it looks like they make 10 cuts 3/4 of its width and just bend them to make the blades.

Don't bother. All they do is restrict the intake and make the engine less efficient.

Just to look at them you'd think so, but I recon that I'd be willing to take a $30 gamble that says I'm wrong. In the word of bikes 5Hp for $30 is pretty cheap.

You'd have to ask yourself though why bikes don't already have these when $30 for 5HP is pretty cheap.

If they worked they'd be standard equipment and every Jap bike would have them fitted out of the factory :?.

I've read something about them that says you may get a little bit down low, but lose a lot up higher because of the restricted flow. Don't bother mate.

All good points. In the ultra competitive 600 market if something so simple could yield so much power I guess the big four would all be doing it.

Why don't you make them. Should take you about 15min with some coke cans and tin snips. If you really think about it, at walking pace it might create some extra turbulence which might lead to more efficient combustion due to the low velocity.....or not. I think you should dyno your bike, put them in and dyno it again and we all can see how good they are.
Just make sure you do a good job cutting them out......wouldn't want to lose those fins...ouch!
The big 4 design their bikes to efficient over the entire rev range.....otherwise we would be probably be walking everywhere.
Try making it before you buy it.

They would snap off eventually anyway, with the vibration and being pushed around by the air (theres lots of it at high revs) they would fatigue and go down the intake pretty fast. That would be a mess.
