As with loads of old kwaka's Mick, they run hot. Mine sits around the 80's mostly. I turn it to the clock so it doesn't annoy me! ....It turns back if it gets too hot mate!

BTW, hows it going? Hvae ya let the cat outta that bag yet? :D

Just quietly, 80's not hot. :)

My 02 sits bang on 80 degrees. Of course, idling along in traffic and fanging make that rise. I've never seen over 102 - the fan kicks in and pulls the temp down smartly.

I think the 01 is an E2, right? There is a manual for free download from the guys at http://www.zx-9r.net/phpBB2/index.php They have most 9 manuals if it helps. Bit over a 5MB file.

my 9 loves to run hot, but then my radiator is cactus :?

its a 98, normal temp is 3 bars, will easily go up to 4 bars sitting at the lights for a while or moving through slow traffic... and it feels a bit doughy taking off with 4 or more bars showing... fan doesnt usually come on till like well into 5 bars, which is way too hot and it runs like crap :x i have a manual switch for my fan, usually flip it on as im comming to a stop or in a traffic jam, even on cold days.
if your going to kill a bronze, you gotta do it BIG!
