Postby magnus » Sat Aug 26, 2006 10:37 am

i have an 03 12R want to stretch it out with a new swingarm from trac and bump up the back tire to a 240 or 250. the swingarm goes from 12-16 inches extra. looks great, but will it ride well or is it too long creating to much stress on frame and bar. dont want a show bike. i ride.

Mate if you are going to add a foot to the wheelbase what do YOU reckon?
I mean you must know or you wouldnt ask the question eh?

It wont turn it into a harley (pulling two plug leads off will  ) but of course it will affect it... badly
And seeing how we all went from a 200 to a 190 to make them turn better...well put em both together...

Why not make it so you can swap back and forth, have your show bike AND a normal bike as well...

yeah sorry left that part out.. i pick the bike up alot, its too big and im to old for that. just want a go fast, real fast bike. have talked to mr. turbo but he want 5 grand to get her to 300 horses. so for now i was thinking streched, cut of my pipe a few small mods and ride it. my warranty runs out in 08 so im trying to stay out of the motor and rebuild the body till then. if i need a stunt bike i found out the hard way my 12 aint it.

Then stretch and slam my friend 8)
I have seen it is WAY easier to launch a standard 12 slammed than a bombed motor (bit of a no brainer eh?)

And when you say " i found out the hard way my 12 aint " you dont mean like this do you

The 200mph club seems top have a LOT of turbos in them.
Perfomance Bikes (English mag) are trying to do a 250mph bike and reckon they will need 700HP out of turbo 'Busa.
They talk about the early Renault 1500cc turbo F1 cars getting 1500hp so its certainly not impossible eh?

And yeah this is what happens when a table drain jumps in front of you  at high speed. She going to going naked from now on
