jacket

Postby Barrabob » Fri Jun 09, 2006 11:25 pm

I am in the market for a new jacket the only one ii have left is heavy as lead and is slow broiling me by 11am and i dont seem to get much time to go to the shops for a look, i noticed this on the internet which may work out if it is available here http://www.imotorcyclestore.com/cgi-bin ... _02X3Y4_01

opps who knows how to fix that url

Anyways i need plenty of ventilation and good armour in the forearms and shoulders and maybe a buitin backprotecter and if i can get something that works with my agv bottoms its even better.

The aussie agv site doesnt mention any of these jackets that are holepunched but it also hasnt been updated since 2003.

Has to be able to fend off the affects of a council bus. :P

Remember captain strap-on? I think one of those might suit your needs.

Bob, we have some ventilated AGV leather jackets at work. But they are NOT waterproof :)

waterproof isnt a issue really its just that they are lightweight and ventilated ad reasonably priced.

I have a DriRider Rallycross. Mesh jacket with zip out waterproof liner. The upgrade gets you better armour, winter lining and drink bladder.

I've been pretty happy with it. With the exception that I was pretty cold for the start of that run up the Spurs in February ('nother story) ...

Mitch i am hoping one of those agv jackets will be solid enough to do trackdays in as well.

I have noticed that when doing trackdays i am worn out by 11am and ready for a kip and also noticed that when i am wearing the same jacket at work running in and out of buildings all day i am also buggered by 11am.

Its the 2mm thick leather and the jacket alone weighs nearly as much as a bessa block and has a dackron and gortex lining so its heavy and hot but i would prefere to stick with leather but light weight and holepunched with solid armour.

I reckon they would nearly need the jaws of life to pull apart the redbull suit. :P

And the council would make me pay for the resulting divot in the bitumen.
