I currently have a pilot road on the rear but thought sports would be softer and get more miles that powers, time will tell :D

How much did they set you back Mick & how do they compare against the shinkie 003 stealths ?.
As for the Pilots champ, I reckon the Power front/Sport rear would give you a reasonable run. A race front/powers rear would be more fun though

$495 fitted, no discounts this time  ) , but I only just got the money on Friday and needed them settled in for the weekend after next. I haven't got to test the grip levels too much yet, but my usual set of corners for scrubbing in tyres (Gos knows which ones, they are my personal favourites that he watches me dissappear into  ) showed no problems at all 8)

It's taking me a little bit to get used to the more conventional profile again after riding the shinkie's around all worn out...I'm never going to get to the edge of the front, the profile looks like Big Kev's Racetech's!

I'm still planning on doing a write-up of the Shinko's though...when I get my arse into gear

Don't think so. The OEM Sports on my 9R wore quicker than the Power I just replace (on the rear). Can't comment on front tyres, as I've just replace the OEM Sport with a Power... more news in about 6 months. :P

Sorry Ponti m8, I must have been on another planet and missed your response.... I was not being rude... honest!

Well the Pilot Power 2CT's are supposed to be between the Power and the Race..... with a ****manufactures claim**** 22% softer shoulders..... so should offer more grip while retaining a bit of that durability, as they are dual compound.

They sound great.... but there is one small hitch..... I have bugged the hell out of the local dealer ..... CMC, and they called the importer while I waited.... and they reckon they wont have any for quite some time.... up to 12 months + as Michelin AUstralia aren't going to release them to the Oz market yet.......

A hunt around on ebay, has shown that they only appear available in Europe...... once they hit the states, I might get a set shipped over.... as I can get that done pretty cheaply......

Cheers :)

hmmm,

I found a set on ebay in the UK that would be about $628 shipped to oz....... damn, that is more than the Power Race's.........
