06 Z1000 - My thoughts.

Postby greenmeanie » Mon May 01, 2006 2:56 pm

06 Z1000(stock) my thoughts:

Tanya was silly enough to let me ride her bike today :P (scrub in a new set of powers).

A very underated bike imho. This bike can be ridden sedately but once you starting cracking open the throttle it turns into something  to do seriously silly shit on!

Keep in mind i was mainly scrubbing tyres in today so not going um too silly  .

- Quick steering/tip in.

- Really nice torque/pull out of corners.

- Nice power wheelies in 2nd(i am a bit of a wheelie noob so i am sure some of the wheelie kings would go nuts on one of these bikes).

- Roll ons in top gear from 100 -220k's with ease and still pulling when i ran out of road.

- Overtaking....with ease(found it similiar in torque to a tlr in that dept).

- Wasn't really bashed around by wind @ speed either....over 200 yeah but under wasn't an issue imho.

- Suspension .....soft but perfectly fine for the street.

Basically just a really easy bike to ride fast. :D

Can only imagine how silly it would be with some mods. 8)
If it was mine i would probably have a full muzzy/bmc filter/power commander for starters.

Also +3 rear sprocket.

But in stock form it still has more power than most(incl myself) to ever fully utilise.

Anyway....sorry for the long winded post but these are my thoughts and i am sure others have differing opinions. Cheers!
