Help: 04 ZX6 fender eliminator removal

Postby fitzy » Wed Apr 12, 2006 8:06 am

gday guys, been checking the forum out for a while now, but seen as though i just bought a kawasaki i thought it was time to sign up.

heres my problem: need to remove fender eliminator for roadworthy, but it seems to have the better of me, fiddled around a little bit and decided to not muck around too much until i know what im doing. i cant seem to get to the top of the bolts where the fender eliminator joins the tail, i hope my dodgy paint exercise tells the story.

Mate when I did ym 03, from memory you need to remove the whole rear duc tail and then you can remove the plastic tray that holds the tool box to get at the offending bolts....wasn't hard to do as i recall

I agree with Plas on this one... I'm pretty sure the whole ducktail had to come off...

Fark's me how though, I got the shits and went inside and drank beer while my mate sorted it for me....

duck tail is pretty easy, front seat off, then follow the screws and push pins 8)
