Possibly a bit quick for a 80 zone and he will now know not to stop if he is doing 40kph over.

Although i am a pedestrian these days i could always work out that roads came in a variety such as built up....go slow theres road hazards and you dont want to hurt yourself or anyone else.....rural okay this is out in the bush theres still road hazards but way less of them and you still need room to stop...and theres 4 lane divided freeway okay if theres bugger all trafic and its all going one way and no kid on a skateboard is going to pop out around the next corner wheres the danger???? Just make sure you have plenty of room to stop.

Allthough it looks really bad on paper this particular bit of road may have been 4 lane divided freeway or it may have been further up towards where there are intersections and lights, if he did it once it was dumb but the second time was really reallly stupid.

He may have decided his licence was allready toast and did it on the way back for some fun.

I know when i got done down the freeway I was unaware that the laws and pealties had been changed and now i see they want to go for cofiscating vehicles for repeat offenders in Qld as well might make for some cheap track bikes if they could open up a few of the tracks around the place.

If he was doing those sorts of speeds on urban roads in daylight hours they should chuck the book at him really.

Anyway that looks like bad press for the motorcycling world.

If I rode my bike at the speed of light, what would happen when I switched on its headlights?

i dont know but as far as im concerned in vic - most of the roads we ride on and do so with speed, are mostly 80kmph zone.

Most country roads are marked as 80kmph... etc

so I know most of us are not able to judge him... apart from smitty. :)  jk

That's a really easy road to speed on...

However at those speeds, it would be totally deliberate. :?

What a wanker.
