Tyre pressure's

Postby Boyd6r » Mon Feb 27, 2006 9:34 pm

What tyre pressure's does everyone run when they go for the weekend scratch in the twisties? I've tried various pressure's front and back and haven't really tried goin bellow 33 front and about 38 rear. At the track i was told 30/30 and they felt great (pilot powers) but is that too much for the road?

in answer....
higher pressure for the road
lower for the track

will depend on ya bike...but 34F/36R is a good place to start with
for the road and then go up and down a few psi
and she how she reacts

also
the SEARCH function is user friendly
a quick search shows up a few existing threads..with lots of info

Coincidentally i looked at the little sticker on my GPX yesterday, it says
for low speed/under 95kg loads.
FR: 32psi RE: 36psi

For speeds over 210km/h & loads over 95kg.

for some reason the auction ended 2 1/2 hours early.....just as tim and i were about to start bidding. WTF why would you end it after you've just let people look at it for a few days - all the time displaying the end time as 17:19.

the auction ended at 1500, ebay sent us a message at 15:22 advising the auction on our watched item would end soon !!!!!!!!!!!

just dont mention it to tim.......he is dirty with a capital "D"

what a crook Ebay is, I was gettn primed to have more GPX bits.
Not happy jan !!!

As with tyre pressures its a best bet to stay at what your manual recommends, unless you are a pneumatics engineer and think you know better than the boys at KHI !!
Just remember the lower the pressures the hotter the tyres will get (as per at a track day) and the higher the pressures the colder they will be and wont warm up as fast as well as wearing funny.
Like I said just go as per the manufactures recommendations.
