Postby TRD_Supra » Sun Feb 26, 2006 8:28 am

g'day guys,
anyway i just bought my ZXR250A and looking at the recepits its done 4800 since its last service so i want to do it!!!
anyway i was reading the engine lubrication section of the manual and it says to use an oil with a rating of 10-20 to 40-50 with a mixture of hte varients... anyway i was wondering if u can jsut use normal oil u would use in a car eg: GTX2 or Mangitec?

also what filter should i use on on teh ZXR ?? i read the receipts and it said i am using a honda filter but the bikes still going so yeah!!
anyway a part number would b good i spose of some brand so i can be lead in some direction!!!

:o S**T!!!!
there is way i am going to pay $230 to simply change hte oil and filter.. when it is a job that would cost $40 at most for oil and $20(if that) for a filter and about 1 hour!

Yep the clutch runs in the same oil, running car oils will cause it to slip. Try motul its fairly good, just depends how much you wana spend. Get into a bike shop and have a looksee.
