Easy Trailer

Postby greeny » Fri Feb 24, 2006 10:11 pm

Wondering if any one here has one of these or has used one.

Looking at getting one for the usual things one uses a trailer for and to carry either one bike or two at a time.

If any one does have one.
-How well do bikes fit on the 6x4? On the web site it appears you can fit a blade on one.
-How well are they constructed?
-How well do they stand up to a bit of rough treatment.

Cheers

You'll need a trailer at least 7 foot long and prolly 5 foot wide to get two bikes in side by side, go the 6x4 if you just want to throw one in diagonally!

I brought a 7x5 trailer last year, with some mods it fits two bikes easy...or a tonne of rocks if i had a car up for the job.

Greeny,

Ours is a 8x4 easy trailer. Very light and even i can fold it up.
we bought the channels for the bike also from them.

We love it.. fits both the bikes on very well.......

PM michael (Tape) for pictures if you want

Just as an option I was at Carac (the trailer mob) in Dandenong and they had channels in diff lengths to be able to just add to trailers. I think from memory the 6ft long ones were about $29...but that is from memory. They have heaps of stuff for trailers there. I dont know about the fold up trailers though. I mainly work with trailers in the hire industry. Hence I spend a fair bit of time getting parts :D

Just looked at the easy trailer site. Looks like you have to get them delivered (as it says "delivery only") which you need to add to the price as well. They look like a convienient idea, but at a price. I am soon going to be repainting my trailer and giving it a birthday. New paint etc etc etc...not looking forward to it..maybe i should get it galvanised....hehe

sounds like a job for .............Hammertone !!!!

its great stuff, cheap, great finish, looks like gal. paint without the cost......

and its as hard as buggery.......lasts forever......perfect for a trailer......

(I have incriminating evidence of a GSX1100 that was painted Hammertone Magenta...........but won't post the photo out of respect for the owners feelings....)

Is that the dulux stuff you were referring? Or some other manufacturer?

not sure of the manufacturer mate, last time I got this stuff was from SuperCheap, 600gm spraycan ?? If you got rust, then need to deal with that first of course....

if you find a use for an airless gun, you can also get hammertone in 1l or 2l cans, its a fair bit cheaper that way......
