Dampened 10R owners

Looks like I've come out of Xmas with some spare dollars to spend on the 10 so I'm thinking it might be time to get dampened.

Those of you who have whacked a steering damper on, which one did you go for? I've started looking and around $700 seems to be the mark although I think Muzzy's in the states do a slightly less expensive one.

Any info would be mucho appreciated.

I got a black hyperpro when I bought the bike, but I don't think it really needs it since I got rid of the crappy OEM tyres.

I have a Matris, its the older style non reactive one but it does the job.
Cost about $700, but I think you can get the reactive one for the same price now...
As Mick said, you don't really "need" one, but it does help..
I'll confirm that after tomorrow...

I think you're right . I haven't really had any slappers it just makes life a bit more interesting at times. I'm hoping to get the Pilots on this weekend so that'll be an interesting exercise.

Have fun out at the creek tomorrow Dave, it'll be good to see how it goes out there. I'm sure coming out of three over the hump will test out the damper.

I'd highly reccomend going for a WP (White Power). They have a new model out that comes in kits like all the other manfs. Previously they used to sell the damper and bracket seperately and things were a little odd. Having said that, the damper itself is 2nd to none (literally, some rate better than Ohlins) but the yanks won't go near em 'cause it doesn't say "Ohlins" on the side and they think WP has some racist undertone, not realising they're from Europe. Anyhoo, you will be very surprised how cheap they are as well.

Do some searching, could be a goer. Otherwise Scotts goes well if you're after a rotary damper.

speed supplies on ebay sells toby dampers from europe, not sure if they are any good or not but they are between $450 and $550 and not sure if this is full kit. u would have to check them out!

Hi there, save your money and get rid of the Dunlop 218's. I have been down the same thought process. I went for Diablo Corsa "H" tyres and the bike is transformed and doesn't wiggle any more. Michelin Pilots are another good choice.

My bike needs a damper (with me as pilot anyway )
First thing is first though, throw away the tyres of death if you havent aleady.
