Looks like the 12 with a repaint will still be the best road bike tho.

Your right hammer, I didn't even see that gawdy gold down there. But then, I've always been
a "upper body" man myself, and once I see a nice pair of headlights, I don't usually worry about the rest :)

No, it is a viable replacement

most people buy zzr 600's for comfort/going from 250 to a bigger bike..

zzr 600 is detuned compared to the zx6r and more upright

so why not naturally replace it with a twin bike, which creates more torque - more comfortable for a smaller bike, and theres a faired and non faired version, beautiful.

Non agressive, learner friendly bike if you ask me

You obviously didnt read my post...

the WILL be a ZZR600.... It will look the same as the 01/02 ZX6R... It has different footrests which will make it more comfortable... but other than that its a pretty wicked bike...

Look familiar? (note the sticker on the back)

That's american.. they've had them for a while, dont think it's coming here. but hell if it does, what does that do for resale of the old 01/02 6's

change the foot rests and the price goes up?

John, the ER6 comes in a fully faired version now as well as the semi faired ver that dreamgirl rides. It's a 650 rather than a 600 and a twin rather than an inline 4 so very much a viable replacement I reckon.

Yeah but i checked on kawasaki.com.au..

And the zzr is listed but the old one.

and last time that ZZR popped up on the site it was confirmed somewhere it wasnt coming to AUS..

So I'd assume that brighton might be importing them???

Look at the top-down picture of the ZX14 in the first post. Unless there are twiddly things for looks then it's definitely at least two-way adjustable!

Edit: Also, look at this picture, they're three-way adjustable :D

Dont ya think you would put it in your spec sheet since the old zx12 specs are right beside it with all the detail?
If you ask me they have gone over budget and are cost cutting now.
Looking very much like kawa has built a blackbird  with the yanks sayin it only got 169 rwhp as well.

169rwhp is a lot for a stock bike choked by emissions gear! If I recall a stock Hayabusa is good for about 150rwhp... the bike being 10kg lighter than the Hayabusa and with an extra 14+ rwhp would be a hell of a ride.

Also, remember that 1400cc is a buttload of torque... and being ~50cc bigger I should think it will at least match the Hayabusa.

Hayabusa say 150rwhp & 220kg = 1.47kg/rwhp
ZX14 say 165hp & 210kg = 1.27kg/rwhp

That's a power-to-weight ratio of almost 15% better than the Suzuki!!

I reckon this thing will be like a ZX12R but a whole lot quicker and with the attitude of a ZX10R!

169 is awful close to 170

170rwhp wouldnt be too far from 200bhp

besides the bike isnt out yet, so i wouldnt worry about any dyno figures yet...

besides, 169rwhp might have been from one with 20km on the clock... the might free up to 175rwhp with a few more k's on it...and immagine the torque curve... you'll see these things pulling caravans
