I have "classic car insurance".... cheapest by far than anyone else for "full comp" ($450 for the year on my little steed)
I'm scared how they will be in the event I need them, but I read and re-read all their fine print (been with them for over a year now) and it seems identical to my old NRMA policy.....
i hate insurance.

Relax Yankee,
I was with them when i wrote off the 03 636, had assessor here 2 days after the crash, and a brand new 05 636 less than 2 weeks later (they couldn't source an 03 so they gave me the current model) I'd still be with them execpt their policy is if you have a total loss with them they won't re insure you.

MG,
I'm doing the same thing ATM and have had quotes from $2800 with SGIC down to $1200 with QBE, Swann wouldn't touch me because I have an after amrket pipe on.

I can honestly say that Arista is too expensive for insurance. They charge almost double.
In regards to AAMI, They don't insure bikes because I have already tried since I have my car insurance with them for several years already.
I have NRMA right now for my bike but as someone else said check the excess for that policy. I even had to asked if they would cover the riots here in sydney last December to make sure that I was covered just in case and they said that I would be, so not bad compared to other insurance company.
