Well i finally got the project up and running. After some teething problems with fueling and the wastegate blowing open i'm starting to get some real ponies out of it. BUT it consumes oil. It only blows smoke at high boost and even then it's not real bad. It's not the turbo and it has good compression so my thought lean toward the oil rings. I've had nothing but problems with JE pistons and the shit rings they use. The oil rings are the same style as stockers but they are half the thickness and very low tension. JE even admitted they've had probs before with these rings. STAY AWAY FROM JE PISTONS USING XA RINGS. anyway i'm probably going to pull it down after Xmas and do yet another rebuild. Plan is to have these pistons machined to use different oil rings. I'm kinda over this project......

Yeah man stick with it, I cannot wait to hear how it goes when it is fully sorted. Good luck, I am sure it will be worth it in the end.
