Found on the internet

"Fuel economy is good as long as not exceeding the 90mph barrier approx 220 miles tank range"
The world is round. It has no point.

I get 238km exactly from my tank of BP Premium.
How you ask, well, one day in the Nasho some squib had to go to reserve, and *just* made it to the petrol station...
I don't like Mobil 'cos they don't tell you the RON rating (what the heck is 8000 supposed to mean?)

My average results:

Unleaded: 220km before reserve
Premium: 200km before reserve
Ultimate/Optimax/Caltex whatever-it-is: 200km before reserve

Standard unleaded gives the best response, but occasionally a bad batch of fuel comes through, which makes the bike hard to start, ping badly and idle poorly. Premium is ok, but induces a slight flat spot below 4000rpm. Not really an issue as I rarely see that part of the rev range. The 98+ octane fuels just run too rich.

I run Premium Unleaded.

On a good day I get just under 22km/litre. On a bad day closer to 20.

The difference between good and bad seems to be related to temperature and the amount of slow traffic I have to crawl through.

I'm not exactly sure what I'm doing differently to you guys, but I seem to get shitloads more kilometres.

I also keep the bike over half full, so I can only guess what I get before I have to switch to Reserve, but I have done 270km before filling and I didn't switch to Reserve at all.

Shit I get less than 300 on mine and I complain, 320 is about max to a tank. maybe I need some custom pipes as I get too good economy :) Believe me it's not the riding style.... have plenty of pictures by Vic's finest camera squad to ascertain that :(

Should say I just use bog standard unleaded, don't personally believe a 10yo bike deserves premium too often.

That works out approx 20km/litre.

Maybe it has to do with the speed I do up here... I have a 30km round-trip to the train station, all of it bar the two kilometres in town is at around 100-110km/h.

The only traffic light is a pedestrian crossing, I only have five corners to slow down for as well...

yeh keeping a clean airfilter helps too. :D
If I rode my bike at the speed of light, what would happen when I switched on its headlights?
