Vale Colin McRae

Postby Zoidberg » Sun Sep 16, 2007 8:05 pm

It sadly looks like my favourite rally driver of all time, Colin McRae, has been killed. However, it wasn't a rally car crash that got him but a helicopter crash of which he was pilot. http://news.scotsman.com/entertainment. ... 1483222007

R.I.P. Colin. My condolences to his family and friends.

not good.. big loss to rally, to motorsport, to the world, the fans and most importantly his remaining family.

on a lighter note, hopefully god (or insert your own imaginary religious icon here) was impressed as he drifted in sideways over the clouds.

I spent four years in the rally scene before I came back to bikes, and although I never met him it's a big loss, personalities like his are what I loved about rallying, and his driving style and talent was something I wish I had 1/10 of.

Damn.

Heard about this at work today wasn't sure though, got home and watched the (recorded) Portugese MotoGP and at the end Rossi opened his comments with a tribute to his Hero as a kid Colin McRae.Never good when young kids go aswell.

Helicopters taken both Colin McRae and Steve Hislop, perhaps they should be banned as being too dangerous as seems to be the knee jerk reaction to motorcycle crashes...
