Is this a serious question? Or is this more about an opportunity to flog snow gear?

The oil in the engine protects the "gears" when they are rotating.

Doesn't seem to be doing a good job in S1000RR gearboxes. :lol:

Oil won't help that ;)

The cogs are in good nick.

That's right, no amount of oil will fix the catastrophic gearbox failure that bmw continue to keep quiet about. :-D

Perhaps the magnetic sump plug from S1000R gearboxes on oil changes is meant to look like, like the one featured below. :lol:
