That's probably to cover the couple of hours it's going to take for them to actually find the battery on a 12![]()

$250, how much was the battery on its own.?? And remember you need those now bolts for the back of the fuel tank cover.. Just get the battery and we will fit it..kawa zx12R wrote:thanks for reminding..... i went to steveo in the city for a battery and the quoted me 250 installed.

the 12R battery?
thats a myth Mick
in fact..its one of the easiest I have ever had to get to
why? no removing seats, tanks, fairings like every other bike I have had
gotta luv the 12![]()
cheers

You are spot on the money.. Although i did find when i removed the negative lead, which is closest to outside of bike, it just slid straight out and past fairing without having to bend it.chuffed wrote:Ummm.. Are you sure about how easy it is to replace a battery in a 12??![]()
The top bolt on the battery cover is in under the tank cover? Which means it has to come off.
If you have a dino seat hinge that has to be unbolted first, then the riders seat to get at the two bolts at the bottom rear of the tank, then the fuse cover, and then you can bend the side fairing when you slide the tray out. If theres an easier way i'd be keen to hear about it.![]()
