That's probably to cover the couple of hours it's going to take for them to actually find the battery on a 12

Did I say it was hard to replace? I was implying that it can be hard to find if you don't know where they've hidden it. Once you know how to get to it I'm sure it's a piece of piss.

funny how much they try to charge ya!!

my cbr battery i got quoted between $180 (batt world) - $260 (dealer) for the exact same batt... but i found a cheaper version at marshall for abt $70.... guy promised it had the same specs, but i dont think it quite had the CCA of the yuasa $260 jobbie!!

Ummm.. Are you sure about how easy it is to replace a battery in a 12??

The top bolt on the battery cover is in under the tank cover? Which means it has to come off.
If you have a dino seat hinge that has to be unbolted first, then the riders seat to get at the two bolts at the bottom rear of the tank, then the fuse cover, and then you can bend the side fairing when you slide the tray out. If theres an easier way i'd be keen to hear about it.

You are spot on the money.. Although i did find when i removed the negative lead, which is closest to outside of bike, it just slid straight out and past fairing without having to bend it.

Obviously much easier than my 10....I have to take the passenger seat off, then the little panel in the middle, then the riders seat....hang on
