at least with the clutch if it builds up pressure he just wont go anywhere

, not come to a stop VERY quickly
Funny, looking at the levers at last weekends ASBK round in Darwin, bugger all of them seemed to be shorty's

You have to remember when fitting the clutch lever to take the sleeve out of the old lever and place it in the new lever. Otherwise your clutch lever will be sloppy.

What Wattie said

Never had a n issue

In the Clutch lever I transferred the sleeve across, it's just a tolerance issue why there us some lateral slop.
The reason I don't have the brake lever in is that it did exactly the same thing the guy with the gixxer did except mine was gradual. Fitted them went for my test ride everything was perfect for a few stops then the brakes started clamping down. A bit bemused and chatting to Glen on the phone we decided must be the lever (had done a bleed at the same time to add to the confusion) Had to borrow a spanner from a local, removed the lever to release the pressure and rode home. Got home and investigated turns out there's a steel insert which the master cylinder piston sits in and it wasn't drilled deep enough. Busted the drill out drilled it deeper went for another test ride with spanner in pocket and thought I'd fixed it then I got a hint of it clamping down again. Rode home took it off put the stocker back on and haven't touched it since can't be assed.... Maybe one day, but I learnt my lesson and will probably jump on some pazzos or similar one day if anything, doesn't give me a lot of confidence that something as important as a brake lever is finished with such a lack of attention to detail.
Come to think of it I should put the stock clutch lever back on, but I do like the feel of the pazzo rip off.

Shit I never would have thought of that

Chinese levers are shit. Use them at your peril, but if you want to skimp on levers on a $10k bike go for it...............Phaaaaaaark!!!!!!

OEM work perfectly

Honestly, to stick Chinese rip off levers on a race bike in lieu of the stock items is just absolute prime dumbness. You spend a bazillion dollars putting a race bike together and you skimp on the most critical control in your hands ??????? You are destined for failure and you probably deserve it.

yep I drilled my ones out straight away as it didnt feel right.
Right as rain now.

Can't wait for my cheap chinese levers to come for the 7
Fri Apr 22, 2011 9:43 pm
Until they shit themselves into turn 2 or 9. .....
Seriously Russ you should think again. Steel making in China is totally unregulated and where used in consumer products the quality is horrible.
We buy thousands of tonnes of steel out of China and unless you know the mill it comes from and have seen it then good luck. There is absolutely no quality control out of most sources and the Chinese don't give a rats arse. Strip, Coil and slab that goes O/S is reasonable quaility because we won't pay for it otherwise but the stuff they use for domestic consumer goods products is absolute crap. The defects you find in Chinese steel products defy all belief. There is no way in the world I would put my life in the hands of a $50 chinese lever. It might be Ok for a while but it will in all likelihood fail.
and honestly do you really want to support the rip offs.

been called allot worse
Have never used after market levers myself but have ridden bikes with shorties etc ..... cant see what the fuss is about

Big deal! Doesn't anybody check that stuff fits and operates correctly before they actually use it?
Some of you seem to get really passionate when the subject of Chinese stuff comes up.

Seriously, if you hate it so much don't buy it.
And Rob, sometimes OEM doesn't work fine. Like my non adjustable clutch lever ...
