Hey Guys,
Well as some of you know i binned my r6 (which at the time was my 2nd roadie/trackbike) at the last Oran Park Track Day, which made for a good excuse to turn it into a dedicated trackie!.
Bike is now pretty much finished ready for a track day at EC Next weekend. I have been taking a few pics as I go and thought some people might be interested to see the progression..
There are a few pics, so sorry in advance

How the bike looked a couple of laps before the crash:

After the crash:

I lost the front end coming into turn 7, and it was just a lowside until the bike got launched off the ripple strip. The Damage List:
Damaged Fairings
Snapped both rearsets
Snapped handlebars/levers
Mangled Exhaust
Dented both sides of the tank
Buckled rear wheel
Broken brake reservoir
Snapped Fairing Stay
Rooted Tyres
Stripped:

Kitted the bike out with new parts including vortex clipons, race rear sets and a micron pipe, as well astrack farings, and sent the rim away to be straightened...

The painting process, a big thanks to my old man who did most of the work!!! Involved a lot of prep, and being on a budget with no real equipment we just used acrylic spray cans and kept the cost under $150 inc primers, fillers, bog sanding paper etc.. The fibreglass on the fairings were in pretty rubbish condition so required a lot of prep. Also had to strip the tank and fix the dents...

The final product with some new dunlop a11 rubber:

Excuse the filthy kwaka!

Very happy with the results, and hopefully will be a while before having to do this again, touch wood! Learnt a lot about the bike in the process too which is good!
If any of you see me at EC on the weekend feel free to say hi
