28th August, 2004:

Welcome to the newly redesigned KSRC website! It’s taken a few weeks, but I think you’ll agree that the new site is a breath of fresh air, and a little easier to navigate. Take a look around, check out some of the new features, and please let me know if you find anything out of place, or if you come across any dead links. I’ve done my best to ensure that everything is in its correct spot, but with some 80 odd pages, I’m sure I’ve missed something.

And, whilst I’m at it. Welcome to this section. Webbies Waffle is a spot for your favourite web master to have his say. So, what have I got to say this week?

Firstly, to the bandits that hacked into the KSRC forum. Why? Do you have nothing better to do? Has the success and friendship offered by KSRC upset you so much that you feel you need to try and undo what we have created? I feel sorry for you. And thanks to Dave #3 and Dan for all the hard work they’ve put in getting the forums back up and running.

Now that that’s off my chest. Have you checked out the new Kwakkas for 2005? The new ZX6R looks, IMHO, amazing!! For those that can’t afford the ZX10, this may be the perfect alternative. Some don’t like the underseat exhaust, but I personally think it looks great. I can’t wait to see what colours they are bringing to Australia. Fingers crossed that it comes in super-fast blue. :o)

As for the ZZR-600. Is it my imagination, or is it just the old ZX6R? Will this bike even see light of day here in Aus? Did Kawasaki simply have a bunch of left over old ZX6R’s? Only time will tell. I think it’s probably a good move for Kawasaki Australia to bring this model back. It’s more comfortable for both riders and pillions and a great option for those that are looking for a 600 with a slightly more sports-tourer angle.

And lastly, a big THANKYOU to BMW!! (Yes, I know this is a Kawasaki site.) Those that know, know what I mean. For the rest of you... you’ll just have to wait.

Cheers for now.
