I had a highside...

...and all I got were these lousy scratches...
...a broken peg, dodgy job replacement...
...and a broken bar end weight, also replaced with a spare from one of the other guys on the ride, you almost can't tell...
Apart from being sore in lots of places at once, I'm ok, but will need a new helmet. Had to be wearing the expensive Arai, eh? grumble grumble...
Did this on the Stay Upright course

Yes, it is funny...but it hurts to laugh. Anyhow, basically this comes down to me being a little fatigued, and a bit to not having the rear brake pedal adjusted correctly yet. Was leaving it til the service...
Oh well...not bad considering, and I don't have to get insurance involved

Bugger mate. Looks like you got out of pretty lightly though, so there is a bright side.

Glad you managed to leap off that bike and avoid damaging yourself Felix! I'm assuming that was the idea, at any rate?

Looks like the bike came off pretty lightly, did it flip at all or just fall on its side and slide?
If it flipped you might want to have it looked at by a frame straightener, even a small crash can put things out of alignment.
How'd you do it anyway?

Nah, it didn't flip...just fell over. I, on the other hand, flipped nicely...
Basically at some point I locked the rear brake on a tight uphill corner, it stepped out, and...dunno...went tumbling soon after so my memory of it is a bit...sketchy. I have found the rear brake to be prone to locking up, and the pedal needs to be adjusted, like I said I was going to wait for the first service to have it done...grrr...that'll learn me to procrastinate.
