Well i Did eventually get my lovely 99 zx9. got it a few weeks ago, but between it having a slight misshap, my working furiously and now haveing Labrinthitis, i have only done about 1000kms on it, i haven't ridden it in about a week now and i'm hoping this shit Labrinthitis pisses off real soon so i can get back on it!
It's in exelent condition exept for a few scratches on the muffler from a previous drop, 49,000kms on it (not 45k which i may have said before), rego till september, just serviced and brand new chain and sprockets. he took $6,200 cash which i thought was a sale of the Fu$king century

. so far i have lost 2 ebay auctions for exhaust pipes, and bought a new front tire for it (Dunlop qualifier). i did have money to get the Exhaust and tinted screen but i have just spent $500 on my mountain bike and not that i'm sick i may need that money to get me through next week

here is a picture of it

it actually feels alot like my old 600 to ride, similar nimbleness (see i can make up words) just with a lot more poke out of the corners. i'll tell you 1 thing i have ridden alot of very fast bikes, 02 R1, 00 GSXR, 04 blade and NONE of them did a massive wheelie just by twinsing the rist hard in 1st. this thing just can't wait to get the front wheel in the air!
oh i forgot to mention it's missing those blue to purple progression decals. on the right hand side cuse that was the re-sprayed fairing, and on the left becuse both side have to match

Welcome to the 9 club. Tell me about the 9's desire to be vertical. Mine still has the scars to prove it.

Damn dude that is a frieking good deal. I payed $7k for my 98 model with same amount of km's on it at the start of last year and I thought I got the best damn deal around, but $6200 for a 99 is just a bloody bargain!

well i just stumbled outside (the Labrinthitis has left me with no balance) and taken a few snaps of the remaining damage.
First pic is the exhaust damage
This one is some scratches on the clutch cover, anyone got any suggestions on how to fix this??
A small cut in the seat, i will need to re-cover that, welding looks shite
This is not illistrating dirt, rather chips in the paint! silly kwaka not putting a wheel hugger on it

any idea's how to neaten that up?
As you can see in this pic all the fairing has been fixed so other than the little imperfections above she looks sweet
I did a fenderectomy, just need some small indicators for the back and some flush mounts for the front
With all advice please bear in mind i am a poor uni student

lol oh and thanx ninjamoses i recon i will get an eagle screen. a mate with a GSX-r600 has had an eagle screen for about 5 years and it's as good today as it was new

Not too bad.. the can looks like it will polish out.. with a lot of elbow grease, or the correct tools..
and talk to Damon about the engine case, he may be fix you up with a carbon fibre cover...

Yes my tail lights wiggle too....I figure, they're still there, so I won't worry about it, till they're not there anymore

Hey tiger,
I can sort ya with a carbon cover for that nasty scratch on ya engine cover.
Just get yaself some black silicone or Stickaflex and stick it on and leave it to dry overnight.
Pm me if ya interested.
Hmmmm, I used to have a bike that looked like that, only in the better green colour
