went to rising sun honda today ( cos they sell lots of gear and i wanted to look at jackets and helmets) and walked around for 30 minets without help from any of the 15 staff members .

went to pickerings kawasaki and before id even got of my bike a fella was there waiting so see what i needed and talked to me about my bike.
EDIT : pickerings had 2 staff members there!

know why i ride a kwaka now dont i

It has bugger all to do with brands but everything to do with the management and staff attitudes, of the individual shops. You will find good and bad bike shops everywhere!

its amazing how if a store person is nice to you they can talk you into buying anything.

i guess they get sick of their jobs like we get sick of ours though.

i am always loyal to a store where they are friendly and act like they give a crap about us.

Yup had the same thing today at MCA in Parramatta, went in for some blinkers, found the stock lines and put my bag down, next thing im being acosted by one of the staff, soon pointed me to the bling, and had the blanking plates in her hand before i even asked about them. Wwas very happy to help me. Just the way it should be.

some big shops are good, but some lose the whole point of customer service

Sorry to dig up an old thread...

I went shopping for boots today....

1. Went into Peter Stevens, some guy was trying on boots and a staff member was assisting him... I tried on a pair of AGVsport boots (not a fan, feel funny) and was eyeing up a set of Alpine Stars.... I had been waiting a good 10 mins for any service at this point while this guy helped some other dude try on a shitload of boot... (he had to try them on in different COLOURS, not styles, or sizes..... COLOURS!)... I asked the sales person if there was any chance if I could get some of these Alpinestars in a size 12....... He looked at me and frowned and said "I am with another customer"...... Fark me! At least he could have said "Im sorry, im with another customer" or "Let me see if there is someone else who can help you" or something similar.... but no.... Just "I am with another customer".... Unfortunately they seem to have the best prices around at the moment... So I might go back, but I am not dealing with that rude little farker... Might go to their Geelong shop, they seem friendlier there...

2. Went into Cosway.... Was ignored.... Left.

3. Went into RR the other day, got roped into a friendly conversation, got offered some Jelly Beans.... Unfortunately not a lot of selection in boots.... And they are in the back corner where there is no room to try them on, so I wasnt inspired to ask for my size....

Anyway, just me bitching really......... Phew, thats all out now.... I think I like RR the best, their shop is improving all the time....
