picked up the bike this morning, had a run, scared the shit out of me

in 2 ways, the speed, and don't know what to do when it F***s up
1: it's fast , fast and fast!!!!!!!
2: stalled the bike at the traffic lights coz i asked my mate to take a pic for me while i had bike's side stand down, and forgot to lift it back up before i released my clutch and there went "bang", and i can't turn it back on straight away, didn't know what to do, the red light on the speedo is on, indicating low engine oil, i paniced and pushed the bike to the other side and tried again and started fine
anyone knows why that was???

It wont start with the stand down and the clutch out it has a cut out switch, you have to pull the clutch in to start it with the stand down.
If it stops and needs to restart and you turn the key off the dash does some weird cycling stuff and the fuel pump primes which is all the wizzing clicking stuff you can hear takes a couple of seconds before it will start.
Just take it easy for a bit or go up the hills for a squirt to get used to it, it isnt a 250 and you can be doing 160kph in a instant.....its the sudden stop at the end that kills ya.
And enjoy.

Why that it's fast fast fast? Coz its a little kwaka pocket rocket!
I stepped up from a zzr250 to a zx6r a couple of years ago and noticed it was a bit faster too

Don't be fooled because it's not a bigger capacity bike, plenty of ponies there to get you into all sorts of trouble. Have fun!

been there and done that with the stand, although got off the bike thinking it was broken and lets just say "good heavens" was not my choice of vocab that day, 20mins later I worked it out.
