KLR650 Max Fuel Range

Hi

Just thought I would let you know ran out of fuel this morning whilst going to work and got 417k's out of my tank before she ran dry. Was running it on BP Ultimate.

Thought I had enough to get to my next fuel stop however no joy, thankgod for emergency phones on the highway......

Moral of the story is, fill up when you hit reserve!!!

I think I got 390+ out of the ER once before I chickened out and bought fuel...didn't hit reserve...maybe I was just running on the reserve all the time :lol:

Might explain it, come to think of it...

I'm tempted to go for a spin on the gpx and run her dry, however being caught in the middle of bumfuck nowhere doesnt appeal.

The last time i ran it dry i got 265 out of it. But the bikes in a better state of tune at the moment, and i've learned to be a *bit* less of a hoon, but not by much :roll:
