Anyone know where I can get one.

Don't want to make my own, would prefer to source one from somewhere.

Also, when removing the ugly rear mudguard, do I need anything to cover where it was?.

Any hints/tips greatly appreciated :)

Powerbronze also stock them. Jeff made ours, he manufactured them out of l-shape aluminium and bent and drilled it where needed.

i got one for mine off Ebay
about $100 aus delivered from UK

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Kawasaki-03-04-Z ... dZViewItem

the reason why i got this one was cause it fit all the standard lights and kept the tie down hooks.

here is a picture of it fitted on my bike

i have a pyramid plastics one...
but its metal (go figure)
haha
its good, uses standard lights, but i put small blinkers on, and it still lets my ventura rack stay there thich has my tie down points attached.
just undo the standard wind brake, you dont need to fill any holes. its flat and silky smooth :)

Hi Ant,

I got one for my 636, back in 2003 from nothside kawasaki in perth, about 80 delivered next day to Sydney.

http://www.kawasakinorthside.com.au

Check the mcnews sites for the 03 636 photos in the gallery to see how it looks, should be the same for the z1 and z750.

So, I should have updated this a little while ago.

Ended up making my own homemade one a little while ago. Cost me a whopping 8$ for the bracket, as you can see it didn't look too bad.

Took the girly for a ride the other night, and got stopped just off Park Rd, Milton and sent to Suncorp Stadium where they had a huge Dept. of Trans setup to defect all the guys/girls in cars.

Ended up with 1 point/$75 for it.

Here's the before pic of when it was on, the middle of me putting the guard back on, and the after to show how crappy it looks with the guard.

Ant,

That sucks, looked much better with it on.

BTW, that orange is a cracker of a colour for the zeds.

Cheers

they saved another life there didnt they. - cant have people riding around with non standard number plate holders can we. that would be leathal.

i thought qld was the promised land where you could be free to drive your vehicle full of rust on cheap fuel and never get it inspected

really sorry to hear about that anyway.

it looked awesome too.

how long are you going to wait before you put it back on?
:D :D :D

I should add that my fine was not a 'defect', but rather an 'infringement'
