Just woundering if anybody has played around with their sprocket sizes on their GPX250, and how have they found them?
Looking on another site (ninja250...) he recomends 14 front 47 rear.
Im wanting faster exaleration, ie from the lights, and faster overtaking.
Im thinking of putting on a 13 tooth front and keeping the rear 45 tooth.But could this be too low??Does anybody know what kind of revs this ratio would do at cruising speed at 100kmh??

better off going bigger on the rear........dropping a tooth on the front will cause more chain wear, as the chain has to turn in a smaller 'circle' as it goes around the front sprocket......and rear sprockets are *generally* easier to change as well.....

The gpx is fast enough for my needs, I dont think that changing sprockets etc would change much (except ruin the fuel economy). I have no problems overtaking (can do it better than my v6 camry...which aint no slouch). My main gripe with mine is torque and there is only one way to resolve that....

My wife had a gpx 250 and we dropped 2 teeth on rear sprocket.
The bottom end was fine, and as we were riding down to P.I. it just needed a little more top end speed and not to be reving its tits off at 100 - 120..

Worked fine and the loss of a small amount of acceleration in first wasn't a problem...

Thanks guys. might be best to just up the rear sprocket 2 teeth. I get the feeling it will rev to hard at 100 if I drop a tooth at the front and also I dont want ruin the chain.
Still would like to hear from someone who has closer their gear ratio on their GPX250.
