Just had a call from a gloating Phil.
He said it was to let me know Josh Waters will be on the radio show this afternoon..
But I know the truth, he just had to slip into the conversation that he's going for a ride for the next 2 days... Then he told me who with and what on.!!!
Phil is a bastard.....!!!

Well we already knew that

...but given the hints he's already dropped I'm assuming there are some nice bikes involved?

what i will say is how the fark do you keep your licience on these things. on the way home from the radio show tim gee'd me up a bit and we had a "little" drag off the lights, the gpx got away well and was on the back wheel, i had got away OK considering i was still getting used to the clutch. the gpx was about 10m or so ahead and then in the next instant i was watching him go in what seemed like reverse  good bye

wow

well first up the bad news....i forgot my fucking camera......what a wanker.

However, fear not as I will be getting all the shots taken by Matt and Ralph over the weekend, that includes the action shots from wednesday and today.

Firstly let me just say that all 5 bikes are **extremely** close, and i mean **extremely** close.

obviously *I* prefer the zx10, but the surprise packet was the R1, i really liked it but it also feels very similar to the 10 IMHO.

The MV is just an absolute rocket ship, it has the strongest engine comprehensively winning all roll ons except top gear ones from low revs. the only gripe is the seat, it was made by moses out of one of them blocks of rock he found on top od some mountain  the handling is just insane - VERY confidence inspiring.

the suzuki was next after the MV and no suprise, the honda and i didnt quite get along as well as the other's. it pains me to say it but they are all really great bikes, they all go about the task in different manners to arrive at a pretty close result in the end.

Please remember these are my opinions only  and everyone had a differing view  - that incidentally changed nearly every bike swap.

i wont mention where we went but let me just say we stayed in a nice pub and took them thru about 70-80 odd k's of dirt. neka, if you recon the bonang is bad NEVER, & I mean NEVER attempt the stuff we were on today. i was MV mounted and spent the whole time thinking that tamburini didnt design this bike to be a dirt tracker. still we made it no worries, i actually saw 140 on the dirt at one stage

BTW i was, along with some other people possibly a little naughty over the last 2 days - lets just leave it at that shall we

On the comfort factor I was not sore after doing quite a few k's over the last 2 days, i was more mentally taxed than physically exhausted.

I'll put the photos but i dont expect i'll have them untill early next week.

:P :P now those are some photos I am *really* looking forward to seeing........

the MV ain't a dirt-tracker ?? bloody hell, aren't these bikes meant to be able to do *anything* ??

sounds like you had a really *phat* time ya lucky barstage......was Slapper on this trip ??
