went for a ride up to kinglake on my own bout 10am, couldnt believe how dodgy the kinglake heidelberg road is, got to the top and decided to hit healsville.

Than realised my cousin was coming over bout 12, so i decided to turn around and head back the 200m to the roundabout to go back to eltham.

as i was riding down bout a K from kinglake the bends startered to have a fair bit of loose gravel, as i came into a s section my bike banked wide, than completely gave way.

Next thing i realise is a car is coming up and we are both heading for it. the bike to the ride hand side i took the left wheel. Thank fuck the driver had seen what was happening and had slowed down somewhat before i slammed into his tyre

I ended up bouncing back onto my side of the road while the bike slammed into the car and went for a little trip into a yellow arrow sign that was telling me to turn

ended up getting to my feet, whole left leg is pretty banged up, no breaks or anything just bruising and scratches (hell my helmet is in perfect condition). cops and ambos rocked up everyone was really good, got all checked out and got given the thumbs up but still hit the hospital later on in the day for some good drugs (which are now getting mixed wit some good whisky 8) )

Car i hit had third party while i have none on the bike, so looks like im up for a new bumper radiator and the rest, some of you guys might of seen me standing by the side of the road.

here are some pics of the bike
what a day.....
And i never got to meet any of ya's
Dont think im going to be riding for some years to come

yeah couldnt belive how much of it there was. for bout the 45 min i waitied to get picked up by some mates i saw 3 bikers get wobbles and a bit of tail action through the corner. i went and had a look over the edge of the road and found parts off 6 different bikes. dont reckon i can be farked repairing it, gonna have to probably sell for parts to pay off the guys VN i smashed into

Ewwww. Ugly CW!!! No good at all............ Don't give up though. Most of us have been through this, and although you are prolly feeling really pissed orf, and down on the whole biking thing, you will feel better with time. If you need a hand spannering, let me know and I will send Gos over........

Just Kidding. If you want a hand PM me and we can arrange a time to pull it all apart n see what's needed. :)

yeah i realise that, just not too keen to go down the road again with my head coming at the tyres of a car. might get a track bike instead, or get a trail bike(yeah fuck that). Should be alright with the pick-a-part job but if i run into any trouble i'll give ya a bell

Sorry to hear that mate, glad you are ok.

Mate glad to hear your ok, thats the main thing.

Dont give up, dont let a piece of alloy and plastic get you down. You can fix the little bugger, streetfighter it if you have to, and get back on it.

We all have challenges, I wish you all the best getting over this one

Whats streetfighter it mean. it looks like it needs bout 2k worth of repairs, so not really worth it on a bike that old.

Point that out to the insurance company as part of your delaying tactics... keep it up long enough, they'll cut their losses and leave you alone.
